We are a church in Abeokuta, planted on the first Sunday of 2017, still rooted in the same convictions we began with: the gospel of Jesus Christ at the centre of everything we preach, the Holy Ghost given free course in our gatherings, and the apostolic doctrine of the Word carrying us forward.
The Spirit of God is just as ready to teach, fill, comfort, and have free course today as He was in the book of Acts. The same Word that built up the early Church builds us up now. The same Lord they served, we serve. The same hope they preached, we preach.
Whether you are coming for the first time, returning, or looking for a church home, you are welcome here.
“Come and see the works of God.”Psalm 66:5Our Sunday meeting is a teaching meeting. We worship, we pray, we sit under the Word taught in depth from the apostolic Scriptures, and we give the Holy Ghost free course among us. Wednesday is prayer; the whole church prays together. Friday is Bible study. Every gathering is built unto edification, that the believer may grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

For Sunday, members gather at 8:20am. We pray together for ten minutes for the going out into the highways and hedges that God will use us to bring men in (Luke 14:23), then we go out for thirty minutes to invite people. We return and the service begins proper at 9:00am. For Friday Bible study, we gather at 5:30pm. We pray briefly, go out into the highways and hedges the same way, and return for the meeting to begin proper at 6:00pm. For Wednesday prayer, we are seated by 4:45pm and we begin at 5:00pm.
Dressing at TLLC is deliberate and honouring. Most members come in neat, well-presented attire, modest and reverent for the gathering of the saints. You do not need expensive clothes, just a heart to honour the Lord and the moment.
Children are warmly welcomed at TLLC. Our gathering is a place for the whole family.
Paul writes, “not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Every Naira given through TLLC goes into the work of the gospel in Abeokuta and beyond. Whether you are a member or someone the Lord has stirred to support us, thank you for honouring the work.
