Whatever brought you to this page, we are glad. Here is what to expect when you walk in.

Welcome

Walk in. We will look after you.

On any service day, the moment you arrive an usher will meet you at the door and lead you to a seat. TLLC is a participatory gathering. We sing together, we pray together, we open the Word together. We sing together, we pray together, we open the Word together. Pastor may call on you, recognise you, encourage you. That is by design. We love engagement.

Come with your Bible and your writing materials. If you do not have a Bible, we will gladly give you one. We do not use phones or tablets for the Word in our gatherings. Honour the Book by holding the Book.

What to Expect

Your questions, answered.

The things most first-time visitors want to know before they walk through the door.

1When should I arrive?
For Sunday, members gather at 8:20am. We pray together for ten minutes for the going out into the highways and hedges that God will use us to bring men in (Luke 14:23), then we go out for thirty minutes to invite people. We return and the service begins proper at 9:00am, running until around 12 noon. For Friday Bible study, we gather at 5:30pm, pray briefly, go out into the highways and hedges the same way, and return for the meeting to begin at 6:00pm. For Wednesday prayer, we are seated by 4:45pm and we begin at 5:00pm.
2What should I wear?
Dressing at TLLC is deliberate and honouring. Most members come neat and well-presented, modest and reverent for the gathering of the saints. To honour is to treat as sacred and uncommon, and our gathering is sacred. You do not need expensive clothes, only a heart that honours the Lord and the saints.
3Should I expect to be called on?
Possibly, and that is welcome. The pastor or whoever is teaching may call your name, ask you a question, or invite you to read a passage aloud. This is not to put you on the spot; we are students of the Word (Acts 19 calls the believer mathetes, a student), and questions belong in the classroom. Come ready to participate in worship, in prayer, and in the Word.
4What about my kids?
Bring them. TLLC runs two children's groups on every teaching meeting (Friday Bible study and Sunday teaching): the Younger Ones and the Young Ones. They receive the same teaching we do, at their level. For prayer meetings (Wednesday), the family prays together. Children are not extra at TLLC; they are family.
5What happens during the service?
From 8:20 AM the saints gather to pray. Ten minutes for the highways and hedges (Luke 24, going out to bring men to Christ), then thirty minutes corporate. Service proper begins at 9 AM with about twenty more minutes of prayer, then worship, the Word, and a teaching from our Pastor or whoever is leading that week. We take an offering, share announcements, and close. The Spirit might interrupt the plan, and we welcome that.
6What should I bring?
Bring your Bible, your notebook, and a pen. If you do not have a Bible, we will give you one when you arrive. We do not use phones or tablets for the Word in our gatherings; keep the digital Bible apps for personal study at home. Any printed translation is welcome (KJV, NKJV, AMP, ESV, NLT), though we most often teach from the KJV.
7What if I have a prayer request?
We pray for people. After every service, if there is something on your heart, healing, family, direction, or anything weighing on you, tell one of our pastors, or send a prayer request through the website. There is no special prayer department at TLLC; the whole church prays, and every saint is prayed for. Prayer is not extra here. It is the work.
