The Younger Ones & The Young Ones
We teach the children the way we teach the church. The Word, in clarity, to honour the Lord and to build them up.
HOW IT WORKS WITH US
We worship together first, then they move to teaching.
At The Living Light Church we do not run a separate children's service that runs parallel to the adult meeting. Everyone gathers as one. We sing together. We pray together. We worship together as one church family, parents and children in the same room, worshipping the same Lord.
When it is time for the Word to be taught, the children move to their allocated spaces. There the Younger Ones and the Young Ones sit in the same teaching the church is sitting in, broken down for their stage, taught with the same care and the same Word that comes from the pulpit. They learn the Word as we learn it.

The Younger Ones
Ages · 2 to 7
Moves to teaching · During Friday Bible Study & Sunday Teaching Meeting
The Younger Ones group is for our youngest members. After we worship together as a family, they move to their space and we teach them the same Word the church is sitting in, in a way they can hold. They sing in their room, they pray, they hear the stories that ground them in who Jesus is and who they are in Him.
The Young Ones
Ages · 8 to 14
Moves to teaching · During Friday Bible Study & Sunday Teaching Meeting
The Young Ones group is for our older children who are ready for deeper teaching. After corporate worship they move to their space and sit in the same series the adults sit in, broken down for their stage, with room for the questions only children think to ask. They open their own Bibles, they read for themselves, and they are taught to handle the Word with honour and confidence.
WHAT THEY WILL LEARN
The same things you and I are learning.
Among other things our children are taught:
Who Jesus is
And what He has done for them.
Who they are in Christ
Their identity, settled in Him from young.
How to pray and worship
In their own words, from their own hearts.
How to honour God
And their parents, and one another.
How to read the Bible
For themselves, with confidence.
That the Spirit is real
Near to them, and theirs.
And much more besides, as the Word opens to them.
HOW WE KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE
Care, accountability, and known faces.
Every leader who serves with the Younger Ones and the Young Ones is a known member of TLLC, raised in the work, and accountable to the pastors of the church. Children are signed in and signed out at the door by a parent or guardian. The care your child receives is the same care we receive ourselves.
JOIN US
Raise them in the Word from the start.
Bring them to a Friday or a Sunday. Watch what God does in a child who is taught the Word from young. We will love them like our own.
